Basic Instructions

  • Advisors or Clients can pick the investments within the client’s 529 at Principal.
There are 16 individual R share funds to choose from. Lean on Joseph for guidance with questions about how to invest the account.
  • Normal monthly fees are not assessed out of 529 plans. Instead, we have added a 529 section to our financial planning agreement (PDF on the Financial Planning page of our website), where an Advisor may charge a client a one-time fee anywhere from a minimum of $100 to a maximum of $500 for their assistance with the plan.
  • An Advisor may not assist a client with opening a 529 plan without executing the WWA Financial Planning Agreement. The financial planning agreement must be physically signed in good order and mailed into our Denver office with a copy of a physical check made payable to Wealth Watch Advisors. Detailed instructions are written inside the agreement.
  • Advisors receive 80% of the total planning fee, which will be delivered via ACH to the bank account on file for receiving payments.
